Your Hub Does NOT Fit Into Knowledge and Education!

Many of the hubbers here are very confused. Hubpages, as a whole, is a website designed to allow writers to share articles that educate others on things they are knowledgeable about. Just because you are teaching someone how to do something, or teaching them about what you believe, does not mean that your hub should be put into the category of Knowledge and Education.

That category is for topics relationg to education, as in matters that deal with education systems like high schools and colleges. It is also applies to academic subjects. A hub about how to make more money on hubpages is not related to education and knowledge. It is related to hubpages, and there's a category for that. Hubs about your political beliefs are not education related hubs. They are political hubs, and belong in political/social issues. Articles about the best ways to have awesome sex are actually about relationships, educational as they may be. Like I said, everything published here is meant to be educational. Hubs about how sex is seen in society, or how it should be seen (there seems to be alot of these on the knowledge and ed. page) is a social issue.

Please stop misplacing your hubs! It keeps people who are more likely to be interested in your topic from actually seeing your hub. It also annoys people like me who are looking for an academic discussion, and have to sift through lots of irrelevant stuff.

I recognize that this hub is also misplaced, but hopefully by putting it in knowledge and education, it will be read by the people who are making these mistakes. Also, I find it humurously ironic, because I'm a dork. To the people who have misplaced hubs, I have nothing against your hubs, and most of them are pretty good... they are just lost. Help them find their homes.

I know that you were not directing this at me, but I do find it hard sometimes myself to figure out where a hub should go before I have even written it! However, you CAN change the location of the hub afterward, if necessary, and I have done that before when I found a better fitting category. Cheers!

Thank you thurstjm for the information. I agree with advisor4qb that it is difficult to place hubs in the right category sometimes, but as was also mentioned in the comment we can make changes to the location after publishing. Hopefully, other hubbers will apply this policy to other categories where they have misplaced their hubs.
